What Do You Mean “Downturn?”
Early on, hosting the Wuffies was so easy. We had a no-document line of credit, approved plans and a mile-long interest list. Even City employees thought our prices were affordable.
But all that’s changed. Our lender is convinced there is “funny stuff” going on in the land-use arena. All our contractors get from us is some good stories. And our investors just want to know when it will all be over.
Yes, even the Wuffies are not immune to this historic economic shift.
So join us, the Westside Urban Forum and Mott Smith of Civic Enterprise, our distinguished emcee and real estate voice of reason and humor, for the 2009 annual Wuffie awards, where we will lampoon a year of laughable land-use decisions, derelict developments, economic excitement and architectural atrocities. Celebrate with us the year that was, or some might say, the year that wasn’t!
Many surprise guests, official and not so official.
