Other than complete forbidding the mixing of approaches, styles, and training, what are the best steps centers and mediators can take to insure that the co-mediators can perform effectively together?

The Membership committee would also like to have a listserv discussion between now and during the annual membership meeting about the article in the ACResolution, winter edition by Jesse Sostrin entitled: Competing for and Winning a Future at the Table: Leading Community Mediation Centers at the Pace of Business. Crash is an interesting film that explores race relations. I've heard that some of our community mediation center members are using the film as a study in conflict. This could be a film that raises awareness of the function of community mediation centers! What are your thoughts?

We are launching a new community mediation program here in Minnesota. We have been shopping for professional liability insurance. Once of the policies we're looking at doesn't cover olunteers. Just looking for thoughts from NAFCM members on their coverage ...

I am with the Dispute Resolution Center located in the Hudson Valley of
New York State. I am very interested in hearing about any exceptional
interactive exercises that help illustrate the key concepts of
mediation: listening, asking appropriate questions, exhibiting good
body language. In addition, any exercises one might have that are
exceptional, including ice breakers. I would also be interested in
hearing about books that could be a resource, as well.
Thank you in advance for any assistance you might provide.
