High Holy Days at IKAR
We call them the High Holy Days, but Yamim Noraim can best be translated as "Days of Awe." These are days in which we step out of our daily routines and attain a sense of the sublime, a sensitivity to the mystery of life. Each year we are given the gift of time to reflect seriously on the people we have become, and dream once again about who we can be. We engage in heshbon hanefesh - intensive self reflection, in which we review our behavior over the past year, identifying mistakes and shortcomings. And we make teshuvah - serious, sincere return, as we work to refine ourselves and repair broken relationships. We connect and reconnect with the best of ourselves, our family members, our friends, and God. Through this process, if we do it right, we are able to discover a renewed sense of wonder and mission in our lives.

Pay for Drop-In Program IKARds
If you're an IKAR member, you can reserve your High Holy Day IKARds through the membership renewal and the new member forms.
The rate for High Holy Day IKARds is $260 for both Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, $180 for one holiday. We do not offer IKARds for individual services. If the cost is prohibitively expensive, we have our Ezra program to arrange discounted rates. It involves a painless and confidential conversation with someone from our Ezra team. If you want to secure your High Holy Day IKARds before having an Ezra conversation, please fill out the Guest IKARd form and enter "EzraHHD" or "HHDEzra" as the discount code on the final payment page. If you have questions about Ezra, please email hhdezra@ikar-la.org.
