COMMISSION ON MILITARY
EDUCATION AND TRAINING (CMET)

Commission on Military Education and Training exists to foster the profession of military adult education, recognizing that military adult education is a discrete element of the larger adult education profession.

Primary functions of the CMET are:

  • Facilitate communication among all members of the military adult education community.
  • Facilitate communication between members of the military adult education community within the
    United States and internationally.
  • Provide professional development opportunities to CMET members.

Commission on Military Education and Training (CMET) is an authorized commission of the American Association for Adult and Continuing Education (AAACE.)

The Military Educator is the official newsletter of the CMET. It is edited and distributed by  SOC (Servicemembers Opportunity Colleges.) This newsletter documents CMET proceedings and provides the latest information regarding military education programs and services, writings and personnel actions relevant to the DoD Voluntary Education Program.
