Recent events provide a compelling impetus for modernizing chemical risk assessment. Several reports from the National Research Council (NRC) form a critical basis for rethinking how risk assessment is done and provide numerous and varied recommendations for advancing the science. Other key drivers include initiatives by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (U.S. EPA) to increase the efficiency of the risk assessment process and the potential use of data emerging from the ‘omics’ technologies and bioinformatic sciences to improve regulatory decision making.
This workshop will be a dynamic forum for researchers, practitioners, and decision-makers to engage in meaningful discussions and critical evaluations of emerging directions in human health risk assessment.
This workshop is scheduled for February 23 - 24, 2010 at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center in Washington, DC.
